Overview
This qualification is intended for those who assess occupational competence in the work environment and vocational skills, knowledge and understanding in environments other than the workplace (for example a workshop, classroom or other training environment).
To be awarded the NCFE Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement, learners are required to complete all 3 mandatory units successfully.
Unit 1 – Understanding the principles and practices of assessment
Unit 2 – Assess occupational competence in the work environment
Unit 3 –Assess vocational skills, knowledge and understanding

How the qualifications are assessed
The NCFE Level 3 Qualifications for Assessors are internally assessed and externally quality assured.
Do you need to be working to take the qualification?
There are no placement hours for this qualification. However, you will need to be working/volunteering as a trainee assessor. (We may be able to help you find candidates to assess if needed).
How long does it take to complete?
You can usually complete it in six to nine months.Which type of job roles can you apply for on completion?

The course will consist of one-to-one online workshops with your assessor, as well as direct observations. You will need to produce a portfolio of evidence and be able to assess two learners (four assessments in total but not a whole qualification).Benefits and Progression opportunities
