This qualification will support learners through a reflective cycle of continuous improvement to practice in their own setting. They will work with staff, parents and carers, and other professionals, to make positive changes for the health of babies and children, in the role of a Physical Activity and Nutrition Coordinator (PANCo).
You will need to be working as a level 3 practitioner throughout the course. You will also need to be able to reflect on your setting and be able to implement change.
Learners may progress within the workforce in the following job roles and responsibilities:
• SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) – for staff who are undertaking the responsibility of SENCO in the setting.
• PANCO (Physical Activity and Nutrition Coordinator) – for staff who are undertaking the responsibility of PANCO in the setting
• Internal progression at higher level including those with management responsibilities.
• Leadership, mentoring, supervision and management opportunities.
Learners can progress to the following qualification:
• Level 4 certificate for Early years Advanced Practitioner
• Level 5 Diploma for the Early years senior Practitioner
