Overview

This qualification provides learners with an understanding of the knowledge needed when working directly with children and young people in a school or college environment.

It will enable learners to gain an understanding of elements including children and young people’s development, safeguarding their welfare, and communication and professional relationships.

This qualification is aimed at learners working in support roles within schools and colleges.

Work Placement

You will need to be volunteering or working in a school or college for the duration of the course. We recommended at least 100hrs of placement.

Volunteering or employed in a school or college supporting children in the classroom

How will I be assessed?

This qualification will be internally assessed, through a variety of assignments, tasks and direct observation in a school.

How will I study?

You will have regular workshops and contact with your assessor via our E portfolio platform There is no set start date – you can enrol throughout the year and complete the course at your own pace to meet your individual needs. It should take approximately six months to complete.

Progression.

Level 3 Diploma in Supporting Teaching and Learning, or into the workforce.

How much does the course cost?

The course costs £1548.75. We have a flexible payment plan available so you can pay in instalments.
